In July 2016, I participated in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 bike ride. I raised over £1000 for the Kent Association for the Blind. I chose this charity, as they have supported my friend Will after he lost his sight due to a genetic condition.
it is time to set myself another bigger & harder challenge to try and raise even more money.
So, on the 5th September 2020, I will be joining several hundred other cyclists in an epic ride. We will be setting off from Land's End and riding 980 miles and 9 days later arriving at john O'Groats.
The Kent Association for the Blind were set up in 1920 to help blind soldiers from the first world war. They now offer numerous services to over 12,500 people with a visual impairment throughout Kent. More information on the services they offer can be found here... https://www.kab.org.uk
I would be grateful if you could donate some money to this worthy cause.
Thank you.
UPDATE (17-05-21):
Hi all.
A quick update on how the training is going. I
have been getting a fair few miles in the legs. This year I have ridden just
short of 4000km(2500 miles) with some great company, in good weather and some
in not so good weather as in the photos.
I have a guess the weight of a fish competition up
and running, with the winner receiving £100 of seafood, curtesy of Linton
Seafoods. Terms and conditions are in the post on Facebook, which can be found here...

Cheers for all your donations.
UPDATE: 21st June 2021
Thank you to everyone who entered the 'Guess the weight of the fish' competition. It has now ended and I will be revealing the winner on the 22nd June.
UPDATE: 22nd June
Congratulations go to Philippa Page for making the closest guess in the guess the weight of the fish competition. Her guess of 3.05kg was just 80g off the actual weight of the salmon, which was 2.97kg.
UPDATE: 12th September
Finally made it to John O'Groats. I've had a fantastic 9 days. More on the adventure will be on Facebook soon. Thank you for all your support.
