Story

I will be racing in 352nd running of The Newmarket Town Plate on the 27th of August 2022, on my horse, Ballyrath. The Newmarket Town Plate was first run in 1666, and was won by King Charles II. I’ve raced with ‘Raffa’ in this race in 2019, and 2021, there was no race in 2020 due to Covid 19. ‘Raffa’ and I have been training hard and we are hoping for a good result. Earlier on this year, at only a few days old, my Grandson Ralph was admitted to intensive care at Alder Hey. He was very poorly and it was a difficult time for us all. The staff at Alder Hey were absolutely fantastic and Ralph was soon on the road to recovery. We are eternally grateful for the life saving help they gave to Ralph, and we will forever be in their debt. Alder Hey is a very special place. For that reason, I would like to help them in a small way by raising money for the Alder Hey Childrens Charity. Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and all donations are greatly appreciated.
