I have some questions I am asking myself as I am filling this in.

3. How did THIS HAPPEN?!

You see I was tired and possibly drifting off to a well earned rest tucked up in my bed. I remember the angelic voice of my wife washing over my half comatose body "N-GAGE have a few places for the Manchester 10K". I think I responded with my usual sympathetic circularity "Oh that is good". Then some more vague comments came drifting in and out of my consciousness as I drifted off.

Next morning I awake, unaware of any impending doom. I slept we'll, the sun is risen and all is good in the world. 

A few days pass and then IT happens!

The ping from my inbox, the one that says you are a popular person, YOU HAVE MAIL. Joy, who can be sending me mail, what treat will it have in store for me. N-GAGE, that's funny why are they emailing me.    Must be a mistake, perhaps Anita has used my email for some reason.

 " Dear Dr. levy, Many thanks for signing up to run the Manchester 10K for N-GAGE......."

WHAT! When did I do this. Well APPARENTLY right before I fell asleep!!!!!!!!!!

So here we are, me a less fit than I once was late thirty something dad of two preparing to run 10K around the streets of Manchester. 

Not done much running in recent years so this 10K is probably going to hurt more than it should.
