This year, on Friday November 8, we will join another office products industry congregation to climb many of the toughest mountains in the UK's Lake District under the Climb of Life (COL) theme of ‘2 million steps forward in the fight against cancer’.


Two million is the approximate number of steps we’ll have to take to achieve our goal – and that’s a considerable distance in mountain-trekking terms. In doing so, however, we’ll increase the total amount raised to well over £1 million, financial support that is much valued and needed by the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) which, in partnership with The Royal Marsden hospital, forms the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe.

For ten years, OPI has been proud to help our industry support ICR. Sadly, during that period, two of our youngest colleagues lost courageous battles against cancer and remain uppermost in our minds.

About the event...

The event sees teams climb the UK's highest Lakeland Mountains during freezing winter conditions to raise money for the global charity ICR. This short video from a recent climb will give you some idea of the conditions the OPI team will be facing.
