Story
Greetings from a fellow Former Jesuit Volunteer, Cohort of 1991-92, from the Cherry Abbey Community in Seattle, WA. Our class had well over 200 young people serving in communities across the US. If you are like me, you remember that year as being one of the most transformative years of your life.
I remember arriving at Orientation somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Oregon alone, not knowing anyone and wondering what I was getting myself into and then being greeted by Father Jack Morris with a big smile, jovial laugh and warm embrace and immediately realizing I was in for an adventure.
I am writing you today, almost 30 years later, as a current board member with JVC. I joined the board last year and have the pleasure of serving alongside 7 other Former JVs. It’s an incredible honor to be serving on the board and be involved once again with JVC, an organization that has and continues to have such a profound impact on so many volunteers and the communities they serve.
I want to take a moment to personally thank all of you who have supported the mission of JVC over the years and to ask you to join me and the other FJV’s on the board to support JVC during this year’s Spring Challenge. Let’s show our support as the cohort of 1991-92!
