Update 12 March:
This morning I delivered some cakes to the big cake sale and coffee morning in Malmesbury, also held in aid of the DEC. It was amazing to see the effort that had gone into organising the event and all the bakes provided by the community. Through the day Iβve been thinking of ways to carry on the fundraising. I have a few ideas; first of all letβs try this: When the total reaches Β£1,000 I will draw a winner. The winner will get a Medovik cake, an eight layered honey cake with sour cream frosting. This delicious cake is popular in both Ukraine and Russia.
To enter the cake draw, please make a minimum donation of Β£5 and be sure to leave your name and email address when asked (this does not have to be made public).
The first draw took place when the total was Β£601 - all donations made thereafter will be entered in the next draw.
The winner will be contacted and we will agree time and date for collection of the cake (or can be delivered locally around Malmesbury.)

Together with my friend Amy, I am hosting a coffee morning on 9 March, 9.15-10.30 to raise funds. (Please get in touch for my address.) I will also challenge myself to make a Medovik cake (8 layer honey cake - Google it! - it looks delicious) and everybody who donates by 9 March will be entered into a raffle for the cake. Please send an email to cakeforukraine@gmail.com or message me to enter.
