Story

Imagine being stuck out in the middle of the Atlantic, with only two hours sleep at a time, battling 40ft waves and rowing constantly for 60 days.

That's what my friend Jack will be doing this Christmas, from December 2015 to February 2016 in the Atlantic Challenge, with his team Atlantic Castaways. In order to help them reach their £150,000 target for the Brain Research Trust, I decided to challenge myself to compete in the Prudential Ride London - the biggest and best Sportive in the UK; a 100 mile marathon for cycling.

The Brain Research Trust is the umbrella charity for research into conditions of the brain and nervous system. They fund research at the world-renowned Institute of Neurology of UCL, to promote innovation into the causes, treatment and curing of neurological conditions, from Alzheimer's Disease to migraines, that affect over 12 million people in the UK.

The Trust receives no government funding. They rely solely on people like us to raise money to help this innovation. So please - help me, Atlantic Castaways, the Trust and ultimately the people suffering from these conditions by donating even the smallest amount to reach our goal.
