Story

WE DID IT!!!

Despite appalling weather conditions and torrential rain the whole team made it to the summit of mount Snowdon where we managed to share our elation with Amanda on facetime.

The climb was physically very tough, we were soaked and very cold, there was zero visibility from the top; but all along we were spurred on by the incredible support and generosity shown to us by everyone who has donated to Breast Friends via Cockles Climbers. It made every step worth it.

To those who have donated, we can't thank you enough. The page is still active & further donations are more than welcome :-)

On Saturday June 7 our team of workmates will be attempting an ascent of Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in England & Wales.

As colleagues & associates of Brookes Stephens, a firm of chartered accountants based in Lichfield, we wanted to show our support for one of our number, Amanda Cockle, who has bravely undergone treatment for breast cancer following the shock of her diagnosis last year at the age of just 33.

Months of planning and preparation have gone into our Snowdon Challenge – all to raise money for a very special charity, Breast Friends of Sutton Coldfield, who have been chosen by Mand in recognition of the invaluable support they have provided to her and thousands other local women.

Our team members are a wide spread of ages and abilities and the Snowdon climb will present a very real challenge to us as a group. Donations will be very gratefully received by us, by the charity, and by those who benefit from their work, now and in the future.

Thank you. Cockle's Climbers
