Having worked closely with Young Carers I have seen the difference that Memory Making Days have make to all the Young Carers. This year I wanted to take part in a challenge that would last all year to represent that a Young Carer has to provide care everyday.

My challenge will see me cycle on a home exercise bike the total of 11,073 km which is the length of the UK coastline according to OS. Aiming to cycle at least 30km a day I will complete this challenge over 2021.

MYTIME's mission is to provide young carers with the support, friendship and opportunities that every child deserves. Young carers are incredibly selfless, the love and compassion they show for their family is humbling. However being a young carer can lead to high levels of stress, worry and loneliness. Through our Making Memories programme and our R&R Retreat Centre we give young carers the chance to take a much needed break from their caring responsibilities.
