Story
It's pretty simple really, we're Charlene Ayres and Sally Kettle and we are going to jump into a fire engine red ocean rowing boat and row around the coast of Great Britain! (Although anyone who has been seasick on the ferry from Dover to Calais will know it's not really as easy as that.)
Approximately 2000 miles of tricky tides, testing winds, whipping waves and the odd tanker lay ahead of us as we row under Tower Bridge at 8am on June 1st. About 50 days later, and maybe 2 stone lighter, we will arrive in London with a new World Record - the first female pair to row round Great Britain.
We'd love your support, so please do sponsor us. The Fire Fighters Charity looks after men and women who are involved is incredibly stressful and dangerous situations, from house fires to road traffic accidents. Take a look at their website to see some of the brilliant work they do.
Thank you so much.
