WE'VE DONE IT!
ON SCHEDULE, AS PLANNED BUT IN A LOT MORE MORE PAIN THAN ANTICIPATED!
Thanks to all that have checked out our page and hopefully made a donation, we both really appreciate it... The page will remain live for some time so please continue to donate if you like what we managed to achieve...
For those that are new to the site, we ran Alfred Wainwright's Coast to Coast Path from St Bees Head to Robin Hood's Bay - this is across the entire country from west to east. Although our planned route was 195 miles, we estimate that we covered nearer to 210 miles accounting for gradient in the 7 days. This gives us an average of 30 miles per day! It was punishing and required a lot of 'digging deep!'. We ran for MS Research as my wife has the condition so it's an issue that's close to my heart. Although tough, we really enjoyed the week and hope to do another challenge at some point in the future...
