On a holiday to the Lake District with my son-in-law Chris, he told me of his ambition to complete a 192 mile coast to coast walk. This walk was close to our hearts as it finishes in Robin Hood's Bay, our favourite family holiday destination. He suggested we did this together and I was inspired by Chris' efforts in completing the London to Cambridge 100k challenge and was looking forward to completing the challenge together. I thought we had plenty of time to plan the walk together, however Chris tragically died in October 2017. 

I will be undertaking the Coast2Coast walk in Chris' memory and raising money for the charity he supported (Huntington's Disease Association). My good friend Mick Northfield has been kind enough to accompany me to provide moral support on what will be a physically and emotionally draining 2 week journey. My daughter will be joining us on the final day to give me the extra push to complete a long journey which Chris would have loved to complete with us.
