We have exciting plans for the year ahead at NAWT which are all designed to allow us to help more pets and their owners! At the moment, the space behind our car park is not utilised so we plan to extend our car park and build a new cattery block.

Story

Lots of people come to visit our centre each day whether it's to view and adopt a pet, have lunch at our café, browse our charity shop or simply have a nice day out. This is great for us as the animals love to see everyone and having more visitors and it helps us to generate funds towards their care. Currently, our public car park only has capacity for up to 15 cars which simply isn't big enough to meet the footfall we see through the gate. To improve this, we plan to extend the car park into the disused area behind it which will double it's capacity meaning that more people can visit the centre to view and adopt animals. While we are doing this redevelopment, we would also like to install a new cat block which will include 8 walk-in pens, a food preparation kitchen, storm shutters and a canopy system that will protect residents from the elements. This will give us the space to care for more cats that need our help on a daily basis.
