Story

CMS usually collects toys and other gifts for the women and children in Edinburgh Women's Aid's refuges at Christmas. Since we can't do that this year, we're supporting their online appeal.

Last year EWA supported almost 2000 women and over 150 children in Edinburgh to recover from the trauma of domestic abuse. Since the start of the pandemic, there has been an increase in instances of domestic abuse and a surge in demand for support services across the UK. Women and children whose lives are affected need our help now more than ever.

£10 would contribute to the cost of a Christmas meal for a woman and her children living in refuge.

£25 would contribute to the cost of presents, activities and trips over the holiday period to ensure that a child in refuge has a more enjoyable Christmas.

£50 would contribute to the cost of food and essentials for a woman and her children living in refuge over the Christmas holidays.

£75 would contribute to the cost of food and essentials over the holidays and beyond for women and children who have no access to other funds.

Please give whatever you can to support this very worthwhile cause.
