Fundraising for Trevi
As a survivor of domestic abuse and now the Plymouth Labour spokesperson for Violence against Women and Girls, I am all to aware of the role these organisations play in our society.
The story is sad but true we need them and they are there!
Every 15 minutes another child is taken into care. In some cases baby is removed within days, before mum has been given a chance to prove she can be a good mum. Sadly, domestic abuse, addiction and mental ill health is on the rise. We’re working to change this.By providing vital services including a residential rehabilitation centre exclusively for mothers and their children plus a women's centre which provides counselling, 1-1 support and accredited courses to help women work through their trauma, we’re transforming despair into hope.
