Deloitte Ride Across Britain 2013 · 8 June 2013

We prepare the ParalympicsGB team to help their success inspire the nation

Story

Hi - not satisfied with completing one day of the 2012 Ride Across Britain, I have volunteered to complete the whole 1000 mile ride this year. However, this year the RAB starts in John O’Groats and finishes at Lands End – meaning the journey will end with the ride I completed in 2012 – the hilliest day of the whole ride!

I am again supporting the British Paralympics Association – who helped our Paralympians do so well at the London 2012 Paralympics (winning 120 medals in all!),  and continue doing a great job to change the way people think, feel and behave towards disability, and inspire a new generation of people with disabilities to get in to sport.

I am both excited and daunted by this year’s ride as I found doing just one 100+ mile ride exhausting last year , but this year I will be completing 9 consecutive days of 100+ miles…I hope.
