We said goodbye to Florrie/June/Mam/Gran two years ago on 22nd July. Since that time, I have grown my hair. My growing hair has become a growing talking point amongst family and friends, including work colleagues. And I am sure my Mum would have something to say about it too! - she never let me forget that I didn't get my haircut in time for my graduation!

My mum enjoyed a good life for 85 years but it was not without its health problems. And she was truly grateful to the NHS for helping her with these health issues, including a hip replacement and an operation for eye cancer, as well as treatment for anxiety.

So on the 2nd anniversary of her passing I have decided to have my head shaved to remember those still battling against cancer which ended her life. When mentioning this to family and friends they all said they would want to sponsor this. As I am fortunate to work in the NHS, specifically at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust, I felt I wanted to help MY Hospitals Charity for all the great work they support. All donations would be most welcome. 

I am planning that the actual head shaving will be shared on social media live so look out for further details. It will be available to view if you miss it live!
