I have decided to shave my head in memory of my brother Callum for his 17th birthday. In August 2020, Callum wanted to shave his hair whilst raising money for charity, but unfortunately was unable to accomplish this, so I am stepping up two years late in honour of him.
Callum was diagnosed with a Diffuse Midline Glioma - a terminal brain tumour over Christmas 2018. He had an operation to remove as much of the tumour as possible and also had two rounds of radiotherapy. I was amazed at the bravery and strength of my little brother. Devastatingly, on August 20th 2020, Callum passed away at The Nook, a children's hospice run by EACH.
The staff at The Nook cared not only for Callum but for the whole family, ensuring that everyone felt welcomed, safe and taken care of, despite being in the middle of the pandemic. The last few weeks of Callum's life were spent mainly at The Nook and we will never be able to thank the staff enough for everything they did to help us.
Any donation you give, however big or small will be greatly appreciated.
