Climbing Mount Everest for Myton Hospices!

The Myton Hospices - Myton Mountain 2020 · 30 June 2020 ·
The first day we walked into a hospice, I was petrified. Like most - ignorance is bliss, I’m not really sure I knew what they did, how they helped - I just thought of death. Although I was so wrong... Myton provides a peaceful place for families to be together, rest, laugh and have fun. The relief we felt because we were just Dad and daughter again! Until you or someone close has been touched by their care, it’s hard to put it into perspective.
Myton provide dedicated care and support for terminally ill patients and their families through hospices and many community events. To provide this care, Myton need £9m per year every year - it’s solely reliant on fundraising and donations. The Coronavirus has affected them hugely, having to cancel lots of big fundraising events and potentially lots more!
Every week we clap for the NHS, Myton’s PPE is literally the difference between people having to die alone at home..
Im climbing 3, 695 stair ascents in one week, (down doesn’t count!!). I’m so passionate about Myton, the work they do, care they provide individuals and I’ve personally experienced the support they offer families! Let’s get them some proper PPE and support during this awful time. Anything you can spare will go such a long way..Thank you x xylophone
