Sam met the challenges facing him with determination, courage, grace and style and in spite of the circumstances, his "joie de vivre" always shone through. We plan on doing the same as we complete the 2115 ascent of the Col du Tourmalet, within a 110 mile loop, with as many of Sam's friends and family as possible, to raise vital funds for the causes dear to Sam and life saving research into Ewing Sarcoma. 

This is a proper Tour de France mountain, the average gradient 8% for 8 miles, but like Sam we're pretty determined and will give it our best shot!
