Story
If you've visited Washington, you know that enjoyment of national parks is a core part of life here: hiking, biking, boating, camping, climbing - you name it. All this is thanks to the careful maintenance and preservation of these beautiful natural spaces.
This summer, I'll have the chance to summit Mt. Rainier as part of an awesome program that raises funds for the Washington National Park Fund (WNPF). The WNPF supports Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks, and your donation will go towards priority projects such as maintaining trails, preserving wildlife habitats, and enhancing visitor experiences.
Mt. Rainier stands at 14,417 ft (4,394 m), the 5th highest and the most glaciated mountain in the contiguous USA. It's recognized as a fairly technical climb, requiring the use of ice axes, crampons, and rope to navigate crevasses and glacial terrain. Our climb will be guided by International Mountain Guides (IMG) and Rainier will be my first go at mountaineering.
Please consider donating to help me accomplish this goal and support a great cause. Thank you!
