Story

Claire sadly passed away at the young age of 35 back in June 2020. Her death was sudden and left all her family, friends and colleagues in total shock and sadness.

Claire was born 14 January 1985. She was diagnosed with spina bifida from child birth. At the age 4 of her family were told she would be unable to walk again.

With the determination of herself and her parents Carole & Ken she went onto live a independent life and grow into a beautiful young woman.

She went to state schools, passed her GCSE's. After leaving school she went onto complete an apprenticeship as a medical administrator/secretary. She then went onto work all of her adult life at a local Doctors surgery.

She loved partying, dancing and socialising with all her friends and family. She was the life and soul of the party!

Her independence grew further through her life.... she learned to drive, went on numerous holidays, bought a house, married the love of her life Paul and gave birth to their beautiful daughter Sophia.

Even though Claire's life was short she leaves behind a legacy and beautiful memories. She continues to be an inspiration to everyone she met throughout her life. Even though she was disabled, this never stopped her chasing her dreams and enjoying life.

She talked about wanting to do a bucket list before she died. There was some crazy stuff on it like sky diving! So this challenge would of been something she would love to do even if it wasn't physically possible.

Hopefully her life can show people with the same condition, that there is always hope and that you can achieve your goals and dreams.
