Story
As many of my friends and colleagues know, my daughter Lauren was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 at the age of 4. Getting that news was absolutely devastating for our family. After many months of surgeries, chemo and radiation therapies, she is doing well today. Lauren is 10 now and we pray every day for her continued recovery.
Going through that process exposed my family to the horrors that are brought on by childhood cancer. I can say as a parent going through that experience with her, you're often left with a feeling of helplessness. There's only so much you can do for your child but advocate, pray and try to comfort them the best you can.
So now is my time to HELP. And that is why I campaign every year for the MACC fund to help raise money to beat this disease. In April, I will be among a small group of golfers setting out to play 100 holes of golf, with fundraising proceeds supporting the MACC Fund in the fight against childhood cancer and blood disorders.
