Story
The idea of running for a charity, combining my addiction to the sport with my will to help make a difference, was running through my mind for a few months. I finally decided to make the jump and start my first fundraiser to contribute to our collective effort at Lactalis UK in support of the Anthony Nolan charity and their incredible work to save the lives of people with blood cancer.
I hope to be raising a staggering £1,950 for the charity, share details of their work and maybe get a few new donors added to the register, as well as inspire other colleagues to make the jump and combine running with fundraising in other future events.
Anthony Nolan is a pioneering charity that saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Every day, they match incredible individuals willing to donate stem cells or bone marrow to people with blood cancer and blood disorders who desperately need lifesaving transplants.
Each new donor added on their register could be a potential life saver in future years. The full process of adding one person to the register is £40.
