Story
Dealing with dementia is a tough experience - for the afflicted as well as their family members and loved ones. When my mother was diagnosed at 67 years of age, I did not appreciate how quickly her world would be turned upside down.
I now know that when you've met one person with dementia, you've met exactly one person with dementia, as it affects everyone so differently. Specialised care and assisted living are therefore paramount to continued good quality of life.
With this fundraising activity I hope to make a small contribution to the great work the Alzheimer's Society does every day, while I do what I do best: hurtle along at 40mph on a zip wire over hundreds of shoppers from a 115ft temporary structure in Liverpool's city centre.
I'm doing this on Friday, 22nd August at 6pm so if you're in town, come watch ! Otherwise, pics to follow.
Any donation appreciated, whatever the amount.
Thanks for your support.
