London to Paris · 10 May 2017

We are a non-profit organisation working to create school places for children affected by poverty. We have been implementing educational projects since 1994. Today, we have enough places for 112,006 children to gain an education across 390 schools of which 11,341 are orphaned.

Story

In May, 15 team members of Clearwater International will be taking on the mammoth challenge of cycling the 300 miles from London to Paris, with the goal of raising £15,000 for the READ Foundation https://readfoundation.org.uk/.

The READ Foundation provide school places for children affected by poverty (https://readfoundation.org.uk/). All funds raised will be used to provide safe schooling in regions where the average literacy rate may be as low as 60% - amazingly, it can be a mere 40% among women and girls. The money we raise will have clear and identifiable benefit, providing facilities, equipment and teacher training in a READ Foundation School, 100% of the money raised will go to good causes.

Thank you from the Clearwater International team.
