Story

With a combined age of 203, our team of 4 Claybrooke residents (Claydads) are undertaking The Kilworth Challenge (www.thekilworthchallenge.org) in order to raise awareness of and funding for VASL. (www.vasl.org.uk)

The Kilworth Challenge is a two day, 30 mile race, that will see the '203s' compete against other teams to complete a number of gruelling physical and mental challenges.

Why VASL?

We were looking for a locally based charity to support, and when we saw the work VASL do we all instantly agreed that they are the organisation we'd like to help raise awareness of, and funds for.

What do VASL do?

Voluntary Action South Leicestershire provide 5 main services;

  • Supporting a network of volunteers who help combat loneliness in the community
  • Provision of transport to those who don't have access to public services in rural communities
  • Provision of respite activities for young carers (11-18 yrs)
  • Support for adult carers
  • Support for those concerned about their own, or their loved one's mental health

Creaky knees, bad backs, flat feet and dodgy shoulders shall not deter us from our plight - please give what you can in support of our efforts.

Thank you so much,

The 203s
