I'm running my first ever half-marathon with a team of colleagues from Kier's central London offices to get fit and to raise funds for Kier's corporate charity partner, the British Heart Foundation (BHF). We are signed up for the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 24th March.
There have been many injuries for the team along the way (torn cartilages, ruptured ligaments, tendonitis and even broken bones!!!) but we're determined to cross that finishing line on 24th March!
INCENTIVISE ME: If I hit my personal target of £2,000 I promise to run a second half marathon later this year, and I will run a third half marathon if the team raises more than £10,000.
Kier's partnership with the British Heart Foundation
The BHF is the biggest independent funder of cardiovascular research in the UK. Kier's two-year partnership will help in the charity's aim of increasing awareness of cardiovascular disease, raise over £250,000 for vital research in to heart and circulatory conditions as well as train over 2,000 Kier colleagues in the lifesaving CPR.
The BHF is funding life saving research to help end heartbreak for the seven million people in the UK living with cardiovascular disease. For over 50 years it has pioneered research that has transformed the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions and has been pivotal to offering vital treatments that are changing the fight against heart disease.
