Story
I’ve always wanted to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats (LEJOG). Why you might ask? Some of you might think I’m crazy to even consider it? Some of you have already told me so. It’s because I’ve always enjoyed a challenge. As a child I was gripped by the idea of traveling from one end of the Country to the other. Centuries ago, early explorers feared falling off the end of the world if they ventured too far. Perhaps I to imagined falling off the end of , a strangely intriguing idea. Anyhow, it took root years ago. So long ago that I no longer remember what or who planted the seed. All that remains is the desire to do.
Loosing someone close to you makes you take stock and remember the things that you’ve always dreamt about. It was time to stop dreaming and do it. As it was my Father’s death that prompted this change of heart I decided to honour him by raising money for the Parkinson’s disease Society (PDS).
By combining my desire to raise funds for PDS with my desire to do adventurous sports gives me an added incentive. When the lactic acid starts to burn, when I’m feeling exhausted and grumpy I’ll remind myself that the money you donate will go some way to finding a cure and to help existing sufferers. Its is this that will keep me going, no matter what.Thank you for visiting my fundraising page
