Story
Clasado Biosciences (‘Clasado’) is a pioneer in microbiome
technology, turning gut health science into everyday supplement solutions. The business traces its roots back to a 2004 research study at the University of Reading.
Today, Clasado is best known as the developer and manufacturer of Bimuno®, a prebiotic ingredient used in dietary supplements and functional food products across the globe. The company also manufactures its own award-winning prebiotic supplement range, Bimuno® DAILY, Bimuno® IBAID and Bimuno® TRAVELAID.
Clasado recognises its responsibility, and that of its industry peers, to welcome and support the next generation of young professionals. The business has a strong and active apprenticeship programme, designed to help newcomers to the health and nutrition sectors to develop robust skill sets and join the business in its mission to make a difference.
Per Rehné, CEO at Clasado, said: “We are delighted to support Working Options and its mission to deliver valuable life skills and employability programmes to schools and colleges. Our team is motivated to get involved because the core ethos of building skills and knowledge is absolutely central to who we are at Clasado. It’s woven into the fabric of our business, and we’re pleased to help out such a fantastic cause that’s so close to home for us.
“We have chosen to take part in the ‘Bridge the Gap’ initiative with a distance of 4655 miles, the distance between our UK headquarters in Reading to Denver, Colorado - our North American base. In the spirit of ‘bridging the gap’, we’re going to cover the virtual distance as a team, by walking, running or exercising, to bring our strategic bases together and raise money for this fantastic cause.”
