Story
Restless Development is a global youth organisation that supports and trains young people, mainly in Africa and Asia, to overcome the challenges they face in their communities. Young people make up half of the world, and have the power to solve the challenges we face in our world, but they are being ignored and overlooked. Restless Development works with young people so that they can become leaders in solving those challenges, whether thats fighting for the rights of women and girls, ending HIV or simply earning a decent and sustainable living to lift themselves, their families and their communities out of poverty.
To commemorate International Women’s Month and the brilliant work our charity partner Restless Development does to support women and girls globally, we are bringing you a fun couple of weeks of activities to make you smile while raising money for a great cause.
With a target of £800 fundraised through a series of exciting events and things you can get involved with, our donations could support 200 girls through the girls education programme in Sierra Leone, providing safe spaces for vulnerable girls to learn basic literacy, numeracy and life skills.
- CELEBRATE: ST PATRICK'S DAY - 17TH MARCH
Seeing as this year we can’t get out to the pub to celebrate with a traditional pint of Guinness, why not donate the cost (approx £4.50/$6.00/€5.00) of that lovely pint to Restless Development! We’ll share details of how to donate on the day.
- SMILE: CLARITY PET SHOW - 22ND MARCH
Here at Clarity, we are pretty obsessed with our pets! So let’s get a bit competitive for a good cause and host Clarity’s first Pet Show! Submit your photo/video entries to restless@clarity.pr by end of day Monday March 22nd. Winners will be announced during the Powerhouse call (Thursday March 25th). You can enter your pet into as many categories as you like and the winner from each category will win a voucher to treat their very special pet. Minimum donation of £5/$5/€5 per entry.
- DRINK: WINE TASTING - 30TH MARCH/6TH APRIL
Back by popular demand, the wine connoisseur himself, Gonz, has kindly agreed to run another couple of virtual wine tasting sessions for us, and this time it’s all in the name of charideeeee.
In order to participate in this event we’re asking for a donation of £10/$10/€10 towards our wonderful charity.
