Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
As some of you know, my sister's dear friends, Alex and Mimi, lost their beautiful baby girl, Lizzy, on July 5th 2013, just 2 days after her 2nd birthday, to Neuroblastoma, the wretched cancer she had fought for 6 months. Lizzy had an incredibly rare strain of a very rare and aggressive childhood cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma in January last year.
I was deeply saddened when I heard this dreadful news and have wanted to do something to raise money and awareness to help find a cure for this evil disease. I have therefore taken on the challenge of competing in 2 triathlons over the next few months! As many of you will know, exercising has never been my biggest love (!), but I am determined to complete this challenge I have set myself.
If you could spare any pennies, I would be so grateful to you. A cure has to be found so that other people don't have to go through what Alex, Mimi and their gorgeous son, George, have had to.
Thank you so much,
Clare
