Many of you who work for Greater Manchester Police will know Chief Inspector John Egerton. This is a picture of his beautiful daughter Emma, aged 19 years old.
Emma was an extremely talented artist. She was studying art at college and hoped to go to University to do the some.
Whilst studying hard Emma was battling an eating disorder that she developed whilst trying to come to terms with the death of her best friend and best friend's Mum, who were both murdered.
Last November in a moment of weakness, when her demons got the better of her, Emma ordered some takeaway food to binge on.
What Emma did not know was the food had been cooked in nut oil and Emma was allergic to nuts.
Within seconds of taking the first mouthful Emma went into anaphalytic shock and died.
John and Serena ( Emma's mum) have been devastated by this tragedy but have had the strength to start fundraising for BEAT.
They have pledged to raise £25,000 this year.
