Story
My hair last haircut was in January 2020 before the pandemic. It was time to get it cut, and it's was cut for a special purpose. My grey hair was dyed a lovely shade of brown before being cut off to be used for wig-making for the Little Princess Trust.
My public haircut happened on Tuesday 22 February at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts in Hereford, which is where I work as Fundraising Manager. and my brave 'hairdresser' was Ian Archer, the Chief Executive of the Courtyard! He was more nervous than I was, but did a great job, as you can see from the photos!
The Little Princess Trust charity say about their work: "When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise. Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families".
