The Sandie's Stars Fund
Campaign by Sarcoma UK (RCN in England and Wales 1139869, Scotland SC044260)
Deb created Sandies Stars, to remember her mother, Sandie Young by raising funds and awareness for Sarcoma UK.

Story

Sandie's Stars started off raising money for Sarcoma UK with a 10k run in September 2013 around Cirencester Park, and as we were all new to running it was quite a challenge!  Since then we have taken part in other 10ks, half marathons, sky dives and have held various social evenings.  By the end of 2014 we had passed our initial target of raising £10,000 having raised just over £13,000.  We have now set a new target and are hoping to raise £20,000 for Sarcoma UK.

In order to try something new Deb and I will be taking part in the London 2 Brighton Challenge on 23/24 May.  This is a 100km walk from Richmond Park which will take us across the North and South Downs before finishing at Brighton racecourse.  The course is open for 33 hrs however we are hoping to complete it as close to 24 hours as we can.  We started our training in the New Year and we have covered nearly 400km in training walks.

I know you are constantly bombarded with requests for sponsorship but if you could spare just £1 it will make all the difference and every penny will help us get through the 100km.
