We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

My handsome grandad was taken by this horrid disease and it is heartbreaking to see someone from your family slowly disappear into another world. The sooner we find a cure for this disease the better.

I am fundraising to try and help other families not have to go through the pain and heartbreak of seeing their family member suffer. The Alzheimer's society offers invaluable help and support to families and carers of those suffering from Dementia (which I can assure you if needed at times).

I am walking the London to Brighton with my dad and his partner Penny. We are aiming to walk all 100km within 24hrs (which can be done). I expect to have lots of laughs, pain and tears towards the end (or at the beginning!) but throughout my time doing the walk i will be remembering my grandad and the good times we had, in the hope that the money raised can go towards finding a cure.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for donating.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
