Story
In November 2012 I ran a half marathon on behalf of Macmillan. I managed to finish in one piece and raise £250, thanks to my lovely family, friends & colleagues! Because I obviously am overconfident about my physical abilities(!) I am now raising the bar and going for a MARATHON!
Cancer continues to affect our friends, colleagues and loved ones and the support Macmillan provide people during this time is amazing. Running a marathon and raising money is the least I can do to contribute to support them in continuing their work.
My charity was chosen by my friend, Kate Arnold. She inspired me to run the half marathon on Nov 2012. Kate lost her fight against cancer in Dec 2012 and my participation in the Edinburgh marathon is dedicated to her memory.
