Story
As part of the Sales and Customer Services team at Norbrook in Newry we are walking or running 2021 km per month to raise money for Action Cancer. As many of my friends will know, my Daddy (Martin) was diagnosed last year at 65 with a Grade IV Glioblastoma- which is an aggressive brain tumour. As a family we are still reeling from this as although he is getting treatment, this is an incurable cancer. Throughout this, Dad has been so positive and selfless, always trying to protect us from the toll that the treatment takes on him. He really is an inspiration and he is delighted that I am trying to raise money for cancer services in NI.
We unfortunately are not unique, not even nearly. Cancer has touched the lives of us all. We know people who've battled it, are battling it right now as well as some who have passed and some who are in remission. In Northern Ireland someone receives a cancer diagnosis every hour of every day and one in two of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime.
Local cancer services have never been needed more.
I really hope that you can dig deep to support this worthy cause.
Thank you
