Story
In 2012 my daughter started school at Billingshurst Primary.
Living outside of the village and having no prior connection to the school, I joined the BPSCA committee thinking it would be a good way to get to know the teachers and to meet other parents. This, I achieved but I had no idea that nine years later I would remain part of an absolutely terrific team of dedicated parents, teachers and support staff who are utterly determined to ensure that all 630+ children at the school have the best possible experiences and memories of their primary learning years. Neither would I have ever dreamed that in these nine years we would raise over £150,000 for the school.
For the past four years I have had the absolute privilege to Chair the BPSCA committee and it will be an emotional day when my youngest daughter leaves the school at the end of July as she moves on to her secondary education and I step down from BPSCA.
The pandemic has destroyed so many of the fundraising events BPSCA would usually host and I didn't want to leave without one last event with the children. I'm used to being in and around school with them all and I've missed this a lot so my final personal push to raise funds for BPSCA will be an entire day of 'PE With Joe' on the school field on Friday 28th May 2021. All of the children will be joining in throughout the day and I cannot wait - I'm determined that we will all have a lot of fun!
