Story
As you know January is the time for New Year’s resolutions... a time to give up a vice, perhaps get a bit fitter and raise some money for a charity in the process.
Well I've decided to do just that and have set myself a personal challenge ...! My goal is to finish the London Marathon in under 4 hours. Having come so close to this last year (crossing the finish line in a respectable time of 4hrs 7 mins) I am hoping your donations and support will inspire me into achieving this.
OK, OK, so I know that I mentioned that I would never run the London Marathon again..... and I have made a promise to my family that this will be the very, very last time ! Honest !!
Anyway, a couple of other really good reasons to justify why I'm doing this :-
Sadly in some way most of us have been touched by cancer and its time to give a little some thing back to those at "Macmillan" who work so hard to support so many of us thru these difficult times.
And until recently I'd completely forgotten exactly how demanding and sometimes painful the training can be ! Ouch !! Still on the plus side the cakes and chocs are assisting greatly with soothing my aches and pains after those long, long runs !
