London Marathon 2018 · 22 April 2018 ·

A page for those taking part in Virgin Money London Marathon for Sense - the national charity that supports people who are deafblind, those with sensory impairments and those with complex needs.

Story

I have decided to run the London Marathon in April 2018 in memory of my niece Sara who passed away in 2016, she was 5 years old. Sara had several disabilities due to her condition, Dandy Walker Syndrome. Her health conditions included epilepsy, cortical vision impairment, hip dysplasia and scoliosis. Sara was disabled in so many ways but she was incredibly happy. Sara had a huge love for music, this love was discovered during her music lessons at Sense.

Our family will be forever grateful to Sense for providing us with the help and support that we greatly needed when having a child with such complex needs, and for providing Sara with the utmost care and dedication that helped her to enjoy her little life to the fullest.

Sense is a national charity that supports people who are deafblind, have sensory impairments or complex needs, to enjoy more independent lives.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
