On Saturday 6th June 2015, I am walking 18 miles from Princess Royal Hospital in Telford to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

I am walking to raise funds for Myeloma UK in memory of a dear family friend, Mandy Phillips. My sister was best man(yes,best man!) at Mandy's and her beloved husband, Warren's wedding in 1993. Mandy was the life and soul of any party and was always up for a laugh!! She had the most amazing smile and loved life. She had two children, Nikki and Jordan and had just become a grandmother to Oliver before her passing away in June of last year.

Mandy bravely fought this disease for 20 months and has left behind a heart broken family and a network of friends from all around the world. Her daughter,Nikki has already raised an enormous amount of money and is holding an annual ball to continue to raise funds to try and fund the research needed to find a cure for this terrible disease.

Mandy was just 50 when she left us too early and we must continue to fight that dreadful disease Cancer, which unfortunately takes our family and friends way before the party has finished.

The "Dancing Queen"continues to boogie and will never be forgotten xx
