Story
Dear Friends & Family,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you know I am slightly mad at times and I think that yesterday proved this... I was one of the 36,000 people pounding the streets of London for the first Virgin London Marathon!
I am pleased to say that I am still alive, I have a finishers medal along with a huge grin on my face....All those endless training days, cold winter morning runs, pasta dishes, half marathons and being over taken by a carrot during a practice run were all worth it as it was a fantastic day and one that I will never forget..The huge crowd from the start to the finish line were unbelievable and seeing my family and people cheering my name as I ran gave me a huge boost. I just had to keep telling myself that the pain was temporary and the memories will last forever and they sure will! - If I can do it anyone can.
I ran for Cancer Research UK and have raised several hundreds of pounds already and would love to raise even more. I realise that you may support charities in other ways and people may ask you on many occasions for sponsorship money, however I would be most grateful if you would consider Cancer Research UK and my aching limbs - I will be truly grateful for any amount!
