Abseil down the 100ft north turret of Eastnor Castle

In my work at St Richard’s Hospice I am privileged to meet people who are displaying amazing courage as they step into the unknown in illness and in bereavement. Many would love to be fit enough to abseil down a tower and many have bucket lists that have to be modified to fit their circumstances. 

I abseiled once about 30 years ago. Age has given me more wrinkles and less courage and the Eastnor Castle Abseil is going to be an enormous personal challenge. I think I am more afraid of the climb up than the drop down again! I am going to do it for those who can’t but wish they could, and in memory of all who have inspired me with their life stories. 

I see first-hand the exceptional level of care and commitment shown to patients and families by all of the staff and volunteers at St Richard’s. I am going to fundraise to play my small part in securing that care for future generations. Social media provides daily requests for sponsorship and I am embarrassed to add to that burden, but any help and support that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
