Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising funds for the RSPCA Manchester & Salford Branch by undertaking a 5 day expedition to reach the summit of Mont Blanc which is the highest mountain in Europe at 15,774ft above sea level.

The Manchester & Salford Branch of the RSPCA is a separate charity from the national RSPCA and has been running since 1963.The charity is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in the local area but being financially independent means it is entirely reliant upon local support to help fund its work.

Those of you who know me well will remember my rescue staffy cross, Ben, who I adopted from the branch aged 7 years old. Ben had been in the RSPCA kennels for over a year and had been overlooked due to his age and breed. The RSPCA Manchester Branch gave him a second chance at happiness and incurred great expense in caring for Ben for over a year. Ben had another 7 years of happiness with our family and our other dog, Tia.

The RSPCA Manchester Branch do not have their own rehoming shelter and are reliant on public donations to fund the cost of private boarding for all animals in their care.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
