Story

Thanks for taking the time to visiting our JustGiving page.

On a Saturday night out (without considering our fitness levels!) we signed up to do a marathon for cancer research, specifically Brain Tumour research in memory of Donna’s sister. Sadly, after a long brave battle, Yvonne passed away on 13th September 2018 at the young age of 37. She loved speed walking and a night out so this fundraising event seemed the perfect choice.

Now we are starting to train in hindsight we should have chosen a much easier challenge but we are absolutely determined to complete it!

We will also be remembering Edie Jackson, who died (aged 7) just one year after she was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour.

Brain Tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 2% of cancer research national spend is allocated to this disease.

If you would like to donate we would be very grateful ❤️ Axis Capital have kindly agreed to match up to £760!

Thank you

Clare, Donna, Emily, Helen, Jay, Natalie, Nicola and Rachel xx
