We are raising money for The Lion 🦁 Ward at Kings College Hospital. This is where Isla stayed for 2 weeks recovering from Brain Surgery. For those that don't know, my closest friends tragically lost their beautiful daughter Maisy in August. Maisy had been a part of our lives since birth, side by side with Amalie and our family, and was beautiful inside and out. 

Whilst having to try to even take this in, they were by the side of Maisy's younger sister Isla and were told she might not make it. Isla is a fighter, not only did she pull through she is now 100% better, which is also due to the amazing work of all the surgeons, Drs and nurses who cared for her. 

Isla spent 2 weeks in the Lion ward being cared for by the amazing staff there. I also know they were a huge support for Nicole and Andy who were on thier own trying to deal with everything and be strong for Isla. They went above and beyond for them all and I know they and we are truly grateful.

Amalie and Isabel got to spend a holiday together in France with Maisy and Isla before this happened and we'll all have those memories forever. They both love Isla and promise to look out for her for Maisy and wanted to do something for her.

It's not going to be easy for them to skip 5k and we'll be putting in a lot of practice (me included). Please donate to this wonderful ward for all they do for others, so they can continue to help others and to encourage the girls to do this.
