Story

Hi everyone

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

As you will all know I recently lost my wonderful mum, Tess Smyth.  She was diagnosed with lung cancer on the 19th August 2009 and sadly lost her fight for life on the 6th December 2009.  In the last two weeks of her illness she was cared for by the wonderful staff at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. The kindness and support shown to her and my family was a source of great comfort at a very difficult time.

The hospice is a registered charity which relies on donations from supporters to continue to operate what is an essential service for so many people with cancer and other terminal illness.

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please donate, no matter how small an amount - everything is appreciated.

Thank you
