Story

Hi everyone! I’m a third year student at Loughborough University, currently on a year long work placement in Berlin. I am honoured to have been selected as one of four students to represent my Uni as part of the Wallace Group’s upcoming Volunteer Zambia Sport project. In August and September 2023 I will be working in Lusaka as a Development Officer for basketball, the sport which remains my passion despite two agonising years on the sidelines following various knee surgeries. I can’t wait to work together with the other volunteers to make a sustainable difference in Zambia. To be given the opportunity to help people access the sport that gave me so many amazing memories, opportunities and so much joy is immense for me. My own immediate task is to begin raising the sum of £1750 to fund my participation in the project. I hope that you will enjoy following my journey and support me with your donation. Any amount, either small or large, will help me to create positive change and I am hugely grateful for every single donation. I truly believe in the power of sport and I am sure you do to 😉 Stay tuned for various challenges and activities I will be completing in the coming months!
All love,
Clara x
