Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since I can remember I have always wanted to help and walk the extra mile for anyone...Jumping out from an aircraft 10,000 ft off the ground - yes, sure is going the extra mile (to touch the sky) and obviously is a daring activity for my 18th Birthday last summer! All year I have considered raising money for Mind and using my birthday celebration as an opportunity to give...especially during these weird, difficult, uncertain times - we all will need these great charities or simply someone to talk to as this is for many individuals the worst time to be battling with mental health right now.
Many people are fighting an inner battle or ‘are not exactly in reality’ that unfortunately we cannot see or may not be heard. Knowing a number of dear people who have suffered in some shape or form, I want to help increase awareness and show support through my fundraising activity. Over 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in our lifetime and in families somewhere along the generations there is a battle with severe mental health illness which in ways I understand but sometimes can be extremely complicated to even accurately describe, let alone understanding and being able to then mentally and physically move forward to a healthy, safe living while coping along the way.
Mind is a charity close to my heart, as it is to the hearts of many. Funded purely by donations, they provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and to break down the barriers that have previously prevented people from sharing their suffering and taking the first steps to getting the help they need as individuals.
Any help to raise money and kindly share my story for Mind will be massively appreciated to support those experiencing and effected by this illness, who you know and many who we may just walk past or see in the street and not even be able to realise the fact that they need to get their life back on track.
#Skydive for healthy minds for Mind because healthy minds matter!
